Pakistan Army Chief Doubts If Afghanistan is ready for pull-out


Seville : Army Chief of Pakistan has doubted if neighboring Afghanistan would be ready for international troops to leave by 2014 as planned. 

General Ashfaq Kayani told Reuters at a NATO Military Committee conference in the Spanish city of Seville, "Frankly, I have my doubts, No date can be a final date," he said.

U.S. Suspects ISI Link behind Kabul Embassy Attacks

WASHINGTON : The Western media is reporting that the U.S. officials are looking for evidence that directly links elements of Pakistan's powerful spy agency to this week's assault on the U.S. Embassy and coalition headquarters in Kabul which claimed many lives. 

US has already announced the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, and they suspect Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Pakistani spy agency may have closely embrace the Haqqani network.

WW-II Aircraft Plunges into Grandstands during an airshow in US, Many Killed

 Nevada, United States : Several people have died and injured when a vintage aircraft crashed into the ground at an air show in the US state of Nevada, a spokesman and video images showed. 

President and CEO of Reno Air Races,Mike Houghton, told a news conference hours after the crash that mechanical problems might have caused a World War II-era fighter plane to plunge into the grandstands at a Nevada air show on Friday. 

Pakistan announces to end IMF programme


ISLAMABAD:  Finance Minister of Pakistan Dr Hafeez Sheikh along his team are off to Washington to preside over the end of the current IMF programme.

According to Finance Minister eight out of the nine programmes that Pakistan got into with the Fund have been unsuccessful and government was unable to implement three major economic policy commitments, limiting fiscal deficit to 4.7 per cent of GDP, introducing integrated value added tax (VAT) and power sector reforms, which lead to technical completion of an unsuccessful $11.3 billion programme with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on September 30.
