Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Qatar to Celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Tuesday


Riyadh : The Eid-ul-Fitr feast marking the end of the fasting month of Ramazan will be on Tuesday as annouced by The Saudi Arabia on Monday.

Religious authorities in Saudi Arabia said the new moon had been sighted and that Ramazan ends on Monday with the feast to follow the next day.

The Islamic calendar is a lunar one, and most Muslim countries set the beginning of Eid-ul-Fitr by the sighting of the new moon.

No restrictions on Altaf Hussain’s movement in Britian



ISLAMABAD: MQM chief Altaf Hussain is a free British Citizen and he has no restrictions on his movement, says the British High Commissioner Adam Thomson in Pakistan.

He was reacting on recent news and reports of the arrest of Altaf Hussain, he said that "The reports of Altaf Hussain’s arrest are false whereas Imran Farooq’s murder case investigation will be completed soon”

Hurricane Irene, Historical floods, claimed 29 lives in United States


WILMINGTON: The Hurricane Irene following Historical floods claimed atleast 29 lives as the United states limped back to normal. The state of Vermont on Monday battled historic flooding that swamped town centers.

Major cities including New York took unprecedented evacuation measures and were largely spared the full wrath of Hurricane Irene, which was downgraded on Sunday to a tropical storm as it drenched a vast stretch of the US East Coast.

Altaf Hussain is under treatment in London, MQM Rabita Committe


KARACHI: Rabita Committe of Muttahida Qaumi Movement has told their workers that MQM Chief Altaf Hussain is suffering from an illness in London and is being treated there but they did not specify the nature of the illness.

Rabita committee has also told the MQM workers to maintain unity and not pay heed to any rumours of the Altaf Hussain's arrest in London.
