Malik requests judicial enquiry into Zulfiqar Mirza's Allegations



ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik asked Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in a Fax, requesting an investigation into the allegations levelled against him by former Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza.

Prime minister Syed Yousaf Gilani confirmed receiving a fax from interior Minister told the media that the request will be reviewed tomorrow.

Chinese is to be taught in Sindh Schools from 2013



KARACHI: The Sindh Government has decided that it will launch compulsory teaching of Chinese language from grade six in 2013. 

Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah chaired the meeting to take decsion. It was also decided that students learning Chinese will gain extra marks, scholarships and foreign visit opportunities.

TRIPOLI : According to documents found at the abandoned office of Libya’s former spymaster with new details of the close relations between American CIA and Libyan intelligence service, most notably suggesting that the Americans sent terrorism suspects at least eight times for questioning in Libya despite that country’s reputation for torture, The New York Times Reported. 

The Western intelligence services began cooperating with Libya after it abandoned its program to build unconventional weapons in 2004, but the files left behind as Tripoli fell to rebels show that the cooperation was much more extensive than generally known with both the C.I.A. and MI-6 the British Intelligence agency. 

Accused Former IMF Chief Strauss-Kahn Returns Home



PARIS: Accused of Sex Assault on a hotel maid, Former IMF Chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn returns home on Sunday to an expected icy greeting from party allies after a legal war in New York. 

The prosecutors in New York has dropped the case against Strauss-Kahn who is back to his native country and it seems unlikely that he will get the hero’s welcome in Paris, where his reputation has suffered badly despite that the case has been dropped against him.
