Intelligence Based Operation to be carried out in Karachi


KARACHI: Upon the guidelines of the president and prime minister the intelligence agencies have briefed the government about steps that are to be taken to bring about peace in Karachi.

Army Chief General Kayani, during his trip to Karachi, met with Corp Commander Karachi, DG Rangers and the provincial heads of army intelligence, according to sources. Two important agency reports regarding criminal activities and terrorists was shared with Rangers as well as the IB.

ISLAMABAD: Police and law enforcement agencies on Friday raided a hotel in Aabpara and a house in sector G-6/1-1 and nabbed a terrorist along with five other suspects as they wanted to hit at large religious gathering in the capital city Islamabad on the eve of Jumatul Wida, told police spokesman.

Libyan Rebels announce to transfer their government to Tripoli


TRIPOLI: Libyan rebels have announced that they are transferring their their political leadership from Benghazi to the capital Tripoli, according to a senior official of the National Transitional Council.

“I declare the beginning and assumption of the executive committee’s work in Tripoli,” committee vice-chairman Ali Tarhuni told a press conference. “Long live democratic and constitutional Libya and glory to our martyrs.”
